AC-617

AC-617 is a low density polyethylene (LDPE) homopolymer in a prill form, for use in solvent borne coatings, heatset and liquid solvent borne inks, to improve surface properties such as rub, mar & abrasion resistance, by lowering the COF. It is also used as a gellant for hydrocarbon oils, a paraffin crystal nucleator in wax blends such as candles, and a viscosity diluent in HMAs. Can also be partially substituted for FT (Fisher Tropsch) Wax in adhesive applications without detracting from formulation properties. Is used as a dispersing agent in color masterbatch applications. In PVC applications it finds use as an external lubricant.

AC-400

AC-400 is an ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) copolymer in prill form, with a VA content of 13%, used extensively in hot melt adhesives (HMAs) to control rheology and boost adhesion. It can be added as a diluent but provides the dual function of reducing application viscosity at melt, while providing an adhesion boost versus homopolymer, non functional diluents (FT, byproduct, thermally degraded (TD) and PE homopolymer waxes). It is completely miscible in EVA adhesive resins, as would be expected by the similar chemistry. It is also used in candles to provide paraffin crystal nucleation, which increases thermal and breakage resistance, adhesion to glass, and fragrance retention.
A-C 629

A-C 629 is a low density Oxidized Polyethylene (LDOxPE) homopolymer in prill form for use in solvent borne coatings as a rheological aid. It also finds use as a metal release agent in PVC. It can also be atmospherically emulsified for use in aqueous applications, such as textiles, lubricants, coatings and inks, to lower the COF and provide surface properties such as mar & abrasion resistance and increased slip.
A-C 540A

A-C 540A is an ethylene acrylic acid (EAA) copolymer in a powdered form, with an acrylic acid (AA) content of 5%, for use in adhesives to promote adhesion to various substrates. It is also used in aqueous floor polishes to provide drag (raising the coefficient of friction) thereby controlling the final coefficient of friction. Its acid number of 40 aids emulsification. Also used in solvent borne coatings to control rheology and provide metallic flake orientation. Used extensively in automotive basecoats. Is a dispersing agent for color masterbatch in engineering resins. Excellent external lubricant for polyamide compounds.
