ADDITOL XL 122

ADDITOL XL 122 is a paint additive to enhance mar resistance and slip and to improve flow and levelling in air drying and stoving paints. ADDITOL XL 122 is a silicone type paint additive. It enhances the resistance of solventborne paints to mechanical attack by increasing the slip of the paint surface. Furthermore, ADDITOL XL 122 improves levelling and flow prevents surface defects like orange peel and thus in general contributes to the formation of flawless film surfaces with enhanced sheen. In coil coating and can coating paints as well as in furniture enamels ADDITOL XL 122 is used to prevent blocking also. ADDITOL XL 122 can be employed with air drying alkyd resin paints, alkyd resin stoving paints, thermosetting acrylic paints, nitrocellulose lacquers, acid curing paints, alkyd-isocyanate paints or acrylics, isocyanate enamels. Paints containing ADDITOL XL 122 can be recoated in general without additional treatment of the surface. The effect of ADDITOL XL 122 varies with the formulation of the paint. A level of 0.05 to 0.3 % of ADDITOL XL 122 on the finished paint may serve as a guide.

MODAFLOW Resin III additives

MODAFLOW Powder III resin modifier is an efficient flow aid for industrial powder coatings. Very fine, free flowing particles make MODAFLOW® Powder III easy to incorporate into epoxy, polyester, hybrid, urethane or acrylic powder formulations. Like other members of this family, MODAFLOW® Powder III offers users: Improved flow and leveling, Reduced pinholes, fisheyes, craters, and orange peel, Improved substrate wetting and Enhanced initial adhesion. MODAFLOW Powder III is composed of materials regulated by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for indirect food contact applications under several parts of Title 21, Code of Federal Regulations. Details on specific coverage are available upon request. MODAFLOW® Powder III contains no silicone. Optimum concentrations for a specific formulation should be determined by incremental addition. In general, MODAFLOW® Powder III use levels vary between 0.5 - 2.0 parts per hundred resin.
MODAFLOW LAMBDA

MODAFLOW LAMBDA is a unique acryl-silicone polymer hybrid technology flow promoter combining individual efficiencies from high end acrylic as well as silicone leveling performance. It is highly compatible in all non-aqueous clear coat and topcoat formulations and outperforms surface characteristics such as: gloss, DOI, sharpness & brilliancy, anti orange-peel effect. It is efficient at low dosage levels and incorporates easily in many solvent borne resin types including high solids and ultra-high solids. Further it can be applied in solvent free and radiation curing systems.MODAFLOW LAMBDA demonstrates superior balance of compatibility and effectiveness compared to traditional silicone or acrylic flow and leveling additives in Automotive OEM, refinish as well as industrial coatings. Due to its high hydroxyl functionality, MODAFLOW LAMBDA may be co cross-linked in stoving or 2K systems and does not show a decrease in interlayer adhesion. In multiple layer systems the stoving temperature should not exceed 130 °C to ensure a good recoatability. The recommended dosage level is 0.05 % calculated on total formulated coatings as a starting point and optimum dosage range is between 0.05 % - 0.3 %. In some cases the dosage could be increased up to 0,5 %.
