S&M ISOTHIAZOLINONE

Methylchloroisothiazolinone Methylisothiazolinone

S&M ISOTHIAZOLINONE is effective against bacteria, yeasts and mould fungi in concentration of 0.01 – 0.1 % by weight. The max. recommended use level is 0.1 % in rinse-off and 0.05 % in leave-on products. (Corresponds to the international recommendation of a maximum use concentration of 15 ppm and 7.5 ppm active ingredients in this class of products)
EUXYL K 145

2-Bromo-2-Nitropropane-1.3-Diol Methylchloroisothiazolinone Methylisothiaz

EUXYL K 145 is a liquid cosmetic preservative, which can be used in leave-on as well as rinse-off products. EUXYL K 145 is not recommended for products that are in tended for mucous membranes, or for lipsticks or toothpastes. EFFISIN PG

1,2-pentanediol

EFFISIN PG is a multifunctional active for cosmetics. It shows good antimicrobial effect as well as excellent moisturizing property. Also it can improve skin feel and stability of cosmetic formulations. The recommended use levels relate to the total formulation in each case. The values given are recommended guidelines. To prove the antimicrobial efficacy and evaluate the optimum use level a repeated challenge test is recommended (e.g. at schülke Technical and Microbiological department).
EUXYL K 340

Phenoxyethanol Methylparaben Ethylparaben Butylparaben Propylparaben

EUXYL K 340 is fully effective both in anionic as well as cationic systems. High pH values (> pH 8.0) should be avoided. Acidic pH values have no negative influence on the effectiveness. EUXYL K 340 proved to have good chemical compatibility with anionic surfactants such as sulphates, ether sulphates and sulphosuccinates, as well as with non-ionogenic surfactants. Ethoxylated surfactants may lead to loss of effectiveness.
