EUXYL K 701 was developed for use in cosmetic formulations with a skin-friendly pH value of up to 6. EUXYL K 701 is particularly effective in non-ionic systems. EUXYL K 900 is a liquid cosmetic preservative based on benzyl alcohol and ethylhexylglycerin. The addition of ethylhexylglycerin affects the interfacial tension at the cell membrane of microorganisms, improving the preservative activity of benzyl alcohol.
