AC-400

AC-400 is an ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) copolymer in prill form, with a VA content of 13%, used extensively in hot melt adhesives (HMAs) to control rheology and boost adhesion. It can be added as a diluent but provides the dual function of reducing application viscosity at melt, while providing an adhesion boost versus homopolymer, non functional diluents (FT, byproduct, thermally degraded (TD) and PE homopolymer waxes). It is completely miscible in EVA adhesive resins, as would be expected by the similar chemistry. It is also used in candles to provide paraffin crystal nucleation, which increases thermal and breakage resistance, adhesion to glass, and fragrance retention.
AC-580

A-C 580 ethylene acrylic acid (EAA) copolymer in a prill form, with an acrylic acid (AA) content of 10%, for use in adhesives to promote adhesion to various substrates. It is also used in aqueous floor polishes to provide drag (raising the coefficient of friction) thereby controlling the final coefficient of friction. Its acid number of 75 aids emulsification. Also used in solvent borne coatings to control rheology and provide metallic flake orientation. Used extensively in automotive basecoats.
A-C 6A

A-C 6A is a low density polyethylene (LDPE) homopolymer in a powdered form, for use in solvent borne coatings, heatset and liquid solvent borne inks, to improve surface properties such as rub, mar & abrasion resistance, by lowering the COF. It is also used as a gellant for hydrocarbon oils, a paraffin crystal nucleator in wax blends such as candles, and a viscosity diluent in HMAs. Can also be partially substituted for FT (Fisher Tropsch) Wax in adhesive applications without detracting from formulation properties. Used in cable flooding compounds, along with polybutene. Is used as a dispersing agent in color masterbatch applications.
AC-1702

A-C 1702 is grease like, low temperature, completely amorphous, low density polyethylene (PE) homopolymer for use in solvent borne coatings; heat set, sheet fed solvent borne inks; and specialty digital and UV/EB inks to provide mar and rub resistance by lowering the coefficient of friction. Also used in lubricants to provide release. Will act as a plasticizer in paraffin based candles, especially large volume candles, to resist cracking.
