MACRYNAL SM 500/60X is a high gloss, good mechanical properties and good adhesion to metals and plastic substrates. In combination with polyisocyanates for air-drying as well as forced drying primers and topcoats in industrial applications. In combination with polyisocyanates Macrynal SM 500 is suggested for air-drying and forced drying two pack systems. The principal application area is industrial coatings, in particular primers and topcoats. Due to the good adhesion to metals primers meeting the German Federal Railway Specification TL 18300 (sheet 34, 588.34.12, sheet 49, sheet 87, section 1.2.1.) +can be formulated.

MACRYNAL SM 510N/60XMPAC is an at room temperature drying or forced drying two-pack systems with high gloss, excellent mechanical properties, superior outdoor stability and chemical resistance, in particular for automotive repair topcoats or clearcoats. In combination with aliphatic polyisocyanates Macrynal SM 510N/60XMPAC is recommended for air-drying or forced drying two-pack systems. The principal application field is automotive refinishing (topcoats and clearcoats).

MACRYNAL SM 508/50BAC is a low polyisocyanate requirement. Fast drying. Resistant to yellowing, good surface hardness and solvent resistance after a short period. Broad spectrum of compatibility with physically drying binders. Used in combination with polyisocyanates for two-component polyurethane varnishes for high quality industrial applications. Formulations free from aromatic solvents are possible. Macrynal SM 508/50BAC lends itself to the formulation of superior two-component lacquers for furniture and industrial metal coating. By combination with aliphatic polyisocyanates, e.g. Desmodur N or Desmodur HL, clear and pigmented furniture varnishes are obtained, which are characterized by good resistance to chemicals, lightfastness, rapid drying, and high gloss even on wood types of dark staining. For industrial coatings, preferably aliphatic polyisocyanates such as Desmodur N should be selected as combination partners. Such combinations yield weather-resistant industrial topcoats, which dry quickly after spraying and show good mechanical properties and high hardness. Macrynal SM 508 is also suited for the formulation of chromate-free metal primers of good stability.

MACRYNAL SM 2855/70BAC is a high solid binder for the formulation of fast drying, highly crosslinked two-pack polyurethane coatings providing outstanding properties in terms of chemical and solvent resistance. In combination with low viscous, aliphatic polyisocyanates Macrynal SM 2855 provides air-drying and forced drying high-solids two-pack top- and clearcoats characterized by a low content of volatile organic compounds (VOC) together with a very fast hardness increase upon curing. When fully crosslinked these coatings match highest requirements in terms of chemical and solvent resistance as well as low VOC emissions (< 420 g/l) making aircraft coatings, military vehicle coatings, etc. the main areas of application; the use in car repair clearcoats, mainly as combinatorial resin, is also possible. For use in more cost-efficient industrial topcoats it is recommended to considerably undercrosslink (70 - 80 % theoretical degree of crosslinkage). Such high-solids coatings provide excellent early hardness combined with high end hardness also at lower curing temperatures (e.g. 5 - 10 °C in field applications), as well as good outdoor resistance.
