It combines solubility in aqueous and polar organic solvents, thermoplasticity, and surface activity with the thickening and stabilizing properties of other water-soluble cellulose polymers. HPC films are flexible without plasticizers and non-tacky at high humidity.

GERMALL PLUS LIQUID preservative by Ashland Specialty Chemical acts as a preservative. It is very effective against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria.
