N-HANCE BF 17 Cationic Guar by Ashland Specialty Chemical is a thickener and conditioning agent. It is boron-free & cross-linked with glyoxal which differentiates it from typical cationic guars. This quaternary polymer is a medium-cationic-substitution, high-molecular-weight polymer which is substantive to anionic surfaces such as skin and hair. N-Hance™ BF-17 Cationic Guar is designed for use in shampoos and body washes. Upon dilution of the surfactants with water, the cationic guar will complex with the anionic surfactants.
