High build trade paints can be produced from VIALKYD AM 764 in conjunction with non-yellowing alkyds. Clear varnishes and glazes (exterior wood stains). VIALKYD AM 764 excels in weather resistance and thus recommends itself as sole binder for clear varnishes, wood stains and glazes. Furthermore, VIALKYD AM 764 shows excellent wood penetration and big ease of application. Clear varnishes on VIALKYD AM 764 exhibit good gloss retention and have no tendency to cracking, owing to durable flexibility. Yacht varnishes Besides superior weather resistance VIALKYD AM 764 exhibits excellent water resistance. These properties allow the formulation of varnishes subject to continued impact of UV-light and water, such as for yachts and other boats. Trade paints and industrial paints VIALKYD AM 764 imparts excellent build and gloss to trade paints. Owing to its yellowing tendency, for white paints it is used in conjunction with non-yellowing alkyd resins. As combination partner VIALKYD AM 764 markedly improves brushability and flow. Metal primers and finishes can be also formulated from VIALKYD AM 764. These paints are used in cases where requirements regarding weather resistance and gloss retention are high.

VIALKYD AN 928/65MPAC is a medium reactivity, high hardness. Superior abrasion and impact resistance. Radiant brilliance. Two-pack polyurethane enamels for metal and wood. VIALKYD AN 928 is a branched hydroxyl functional polyester suitable as crosslinker for aliphatic and aromatic polyisocyanates. The components react at ambient temperature and give films with outstanding light fastness and gloss retention. The high reactivity affords crosslinking particularly with Desmodur N, Desmodur L and Desmodur HL grades. VIALKYD AN 928 can be used as sole binder in the formulation of clear and pigmented paints for coachworks and high rise panels affording excellent resistance to abrasion, chemicals and water. The substrates can be wood, metal or plastic.

SETAL 1606 BA-80 provides VOC compliant coatings (below 400 g/l) with high build and gloss, very good outdoor durability, good mechanical properties and good chemical resistance. It is used as two-component clearcoats and solid colour topcoats for vehicle refinish. Co-binder for combination with acrylic resins for two-component systems with reduced VOC.
