Undecyl alcohol acts as an excellent booster for the antimicrobial properties of phenethyl alcohol and significantly reduces its flowery, rose-like scent (patent pending). The faint scent of sensiva® PA 30 can mask possible unpleasant odours of other ingredients in formulations. sensiva® PA 30 can effectively stabilise cosmetic formulations against typical microbiological contamination. S&M ISOTHIAZOLINONE is effective against bacteria, yeasts and mould fungi in concentration of 0.01 – 0.1 % by weight. The max. recommended use level is 0.1 % in rinse-off and 0.05 % in leave-on products. (Corresponds to the international recommendation of a maximum use concentration of 15 ppm and 7.5 ppm active ingredients in this class of products)

EFFISIN PG is a multifunctional active for cosmetics. It shows good antimicrobial effect as well as excellent moisturizing property. Also it can improve skin feel and stability of cosmetic formulations. The recommended use levels relate to the total formulation in each case. The values given are recommended guidelines. To prove the antimicrobial efficacy and evaluate the optimum use level a repeated challenge test is recommended (e.g. at schülke Technical and Microbiological department).
