SETATHANE D E 2656 is applied in combination with Desmodur® VL as a binder for chemically resistant coatings. SETATHANE D E 2656 is suitable for the formulation of coatings and mortars with high chemical resistance for food and beverage industries. Coatings formulated with SETATHANE D E 2656 / Desmodur VL generally exhibit very good resistance to organic and inorganic acids, alkalis and solvents. Overcrosslinking of 500 % is usual. This optimizes chemical resistance and flow. To ensure blister-free curing, SETATHANE D E 2656 requires the addition of hydrated lime and/or cement as a CO2 scavenger.

SETATHANE D 1160 is applied in combination with solvent-free, predominantly aromatic polyisocyanates, as a binder for flexible floor coatings. It is the most suitable co-reactant for SETATHANE D 1160 is Desmodur VH 20 N. Other polyisocyanates such as Desmodur VL are also suitable but the compatibility must be tested in each case. SETATHANE D 1160 can be used in the formulation of flexible floor coatings.
