Ethyl eicosapentaenoic acid is a medication used to treat hypertriglyceridemia. It is used in combination with changes in diet in adults with hypertriglyceridemia ≥ 150 mg/dL. It is made from the omega-3 fatty acid eicosapentaenoic acid.
