ADDITOL VXW 6393

ADDITOL VXW 6393 was designed to destroy foam generated in emulsion wall-paints, based on PVAC, PVC, acrylics and their mixed polymers. Prior to using ADDITOL VXW 6393 it should be thoroughly agitated since it is prone to sediment fall out. When examining its rheology it is necessary to wait an additional 5 minutes. ADDITOL VXW 6393 can be easily emulsified and worked into the designated product.
ADDITOL XL 204

ADDITOL XL 203 is a high pigment loading without increase in viscosity. Reduction of dispersing time. For air drying and stoving solvent-borne paints and for water dilutable paint systems. ADDITOL XL 204 prevents the floating of titanium dioxide in conjunction with organic or inorganic coloured pigments. It can be employed in solvent-borne and water dilutable air drying and stoving paint systems. ADDITOL XL 204 affords higher pigment loading of the paint system and pigment pastes without causing the viscosity rise usual with such products and, at the same time, reduces dispersing time. The recommended level may range from 0.1 to 1.5 % on total paint. Level on pigments: inorganic pigments: 0.5 - 2.5 % organic pigments: 1.5 - 5.0 %, Levels of addition in water dilutable air drying and stoving system may range from 1 to 6 % on pigments. The figures given here may serve as a guide for extensive trials to find the optimum in dosage and effect to save costs.

ADDITOL XL 480´s Additive to improve surface quality of paint films, particularly automotive coatings. ADDITOL XL 480 may be used with any type of paint material, e.g. on the basis of alkyd/melamine systems, acrylics, polyurethane systems, oil-free polyesters, etc. ADDITOL XL 480 prevents surface defects of paint films. In most cases, the coemployment of ADDITOL XL 480 helps to prevent craters, even caused by neighbouring spray mists of other paints. Further, film defects caused by applicational conditions, like poor levelling,uneven surface, etc. can be avoided. TUNGOPHEN B NV

TUNGOPHEN B NV is applied as an additive in alkyd coatings. Additions of 1 - 3% TUNGOPHEN B NV, calculated on the 100% alkyd resin, greatly accelerate the through-drying and increase the gloss of alkyd coatings. Initial drying slows in proportion to the addition of TUNGOPHEN B NV. This improves the flow properties of the coating and reduces the likelihood of surface defects, even in thicker films. TUNGOPHEN B NV is usually added at room temperature as a solution in xylene. The addition of TUNGOPHEN B NV results in yellowing. For this reason, it should not be used in white coatings. The amount used in pale-colored coatings should be kept to a minimum. Addition of the product to coatings based on medium-oil alkyd resins, e.g. Setal A F 48, will result in particularly significant acceleration of through-drying. TUNGOPHEN B NV should not be used in styrenated alkyd resins, oil based coatings or oil/resin combination coatings.
