SETAL A F 48 TB/X is the standard binder for air and force-drying industrial coatings. Itsmain characteristics are its rapid drying (four-hour coating), good through-drying and curing to formdefect-free films, even in thick coats. It also yields good film properties - whiteness, resistance to yellowing, gloss and gloss retention, brilliance, body, flow and weather stability. SETAL A F 48 TB/X can be used in primers as well as in all types of top coats and one-coat finishes. Coatings based on SETAL A F 48 TB/X can be applied using conventional methods such as spraying, dipping and flow coating. A combination of 0.1 % Ca/0.06 % Co/0.2 % Zn and 0.2 % Zr-octoate, calculated as metal on solvent-free resin, has proved to be a useful mixture for speeding up the drying. Combination with long-oil alkyd resins is necessary for DIY paints applied by brushing.

Furthermore, ADDITOL XL 122 N improves levelling and flow prevents surface defects like orange peel and thus in general contributes to the formation of flawless film surfaces with enhanced sheen. In coil coating and can coating paints as well as in furniture enamels ADDITOL XL 122 N is used to prevent blocking also. ADDITOL XL 122 N can be employed with air drying alkyd resin paints, alkyd resin stoving paints, thermosetting acrylic paints, nitrocellulose lacquers, acid curing paints, alkyd-isocyanate paints or acrylics, isocyanate enamels.
