Pullulan is a polysaccharide made from starch, produced by fermentation, consisting of maltotriose units. It is an excellent lubricant and adhesive with film-forming properties. It does not modify the viscosity of the final product, and improves foam retention.
Ammonium Glycyrrhizate is a pentacyclic triperpene acid extracted from liquorice root (glycyrrhiza glabra). It is manufactured by acid treatment, followed by neutralization with ammonia. It is an anti-inflammatory and anti-acne active, because it inhibits excessive release of skin lipids through sebaceous glands.
