Phenylpropanol Propanediol Caprylyl Glycol Tocopherol

SENSIVA PA 40 is a synergistic blend combines the antimicrobial activity of phenylpropanol and caprylyl glycol with the boosting and skin care properties of naturally-derived propanediol. The mild moisturiser propanediol improves the skin feel of formulations while enhancing the efficacy of antimicrobial components. Caprylyl glycol acts as an excellent booster for the antimicrobial properties of the nature-identical fragrance ingredient phenylpropanol. Additionally sensiva® PA 40 provides a very faint flowery scent which can mask possible unpleasant odours of other ingredients in formulations.

S&M METHYLPARABEN

Methyl 4-hydroxybenzoate

S&M METHYLPARABEN is fully effective both in anionic as well as cationic systems. Acidic pH values have no negative influence on the effectiveness. High pH values (> pH 8.0) should be avoided. S&M METHYLPARABEN proved to have good chemical compatibility with anionic surfactants such as sulphates, ether sulphates and sulphosuccinates, as well as with non-ionogenic surfactants. Ethoxylated surfactants may lead to loss of effectiveness.

Propylparaben

S&M PROPYLPARABEN comprises a single active ingredient and has broad-spectrum efficacy. This crystalline powder is a powerful preservative even at low use concentrations, and is stable across a broad pH and temperature range. s&m Propylparaben is fully effective both in anionic as well as cationic systems. S&M ISOTHIAZOLINONE is effective against bacteria, yeasts and mould fungi in concentration of 0.01 – 0.1 % by weight. The max. recommended use level is 0.1 % in rinse-off and 0.05 % in leave-on products. (Corresponds to the international recommendation of a maximum use concentration of 15 ppm and 7.5 ppm active ingredients in this class of products)
