KLUCEL H CS has excellent film-forming properties and thickens non-aqueous systems and provide lubricious skin feel. Klucel™ CS Grade is a nonionic, water-soluble cellulose ether with a versatile combination of properties. It combines solubility in aqueous and polar organic solvents, thermoplasticity, and surface activity with the thickening and stabilizing properties of other water-soluble cellulose polymers. HPC films are flexible without plasticizers and non-tacky at high humidity.

STYLEZE W-20 polymer by Ashland Specialty Chemical acts as a film former and foam stabilizer. Exhibits excellent adhesion to high energy substrates and forms flexible, elastic, low-tack and heat-resistant films. It stabilizes foam through its ability to reduce surface tension.

PVP-VA E-735 by Ashland Specialty Chemical acts as a film forming agent. It forms transparent, flexible and oxygen permeable films which adhere to glass, plastic and metal. It offers strong & stiff hold, enhanced high humidity curl retention and good propellant compatibility. PVP-VA E-735 finds application in formulating hair care products like hairsprays, colorants, mousses, gels, styling lotions/creams and novelty stylers. It is a 50% solution of linear and random polyvinylpyrrolidone/vinyl acetate (PVP/VA) copolymer in ethanol. It is produced by the free-radical polymerization of monomers in the ratio of 70/30 (VP/VA).
