It behaves as a liquid at ambient temperature and jellifies when the temperature increases. Expertgel® 412 has a gelation temperature under 15°C and below 21°C. It is unaffected by pH changes.

PLASDON K29/32 polymer by Ashland Specialty Chemical acts as a rheology modifier. It is a stable, water-soluble polyvinylpyrrolidone that meets U.S., European and Japanese pharmacopoeia specifications for Povidone.
